Founded in 1658, the Zhongang Cihyu Temple is the oldest ancient Matsu temple and the local religious center in Miaoli. The Ministry of Interiors listed it in 1985 as a Third-class Historical Site. It houses innumerable precious and extremely rare historic artifacts.
