Taiwan Hakka Museum is devoted to developing Hakka industry, culture, and tourism. This year, in reception of the Tung flower season that begins in April, the museum invited artist You Wen-fu to make land art inspired by “falling Tung flowers” on the museum’s outdoor steps. You Wen-fu is known for the installation art, environmental art, and earth art he makes, with materials acquired from nature. His latest work is on display from now until May 24, featuring a sea of bamboo sticks with layers of pastel colors. The artwork has turned the area into a dreamlike land of snow, and the “summer snow” is expected to become a popular site during the Tung flower season.
Due to COVID-19, from now on, all visitors must wear face masks when entering Taiwan Hakka Museum. Those who do not wear masks or whose body temperature is over 37.5 Celsius degrees will be prohibited from entrance. Visitors wishing to watch Tung flowers and the earth art should make sure to abide all relevant rules and take them seriously. This is for the safety of themselves and others - an act of social responsibility.
