The 2024 Miaoli Christmasland, hosted by the Miaoli County Government, was held from December 21 to December 24, 2024, at Zhunan Sports Park and its surrounding areas. The event featured four themed evening concerts, showcasing performances by over 31 renowned artists in Mandarin, Taiwanese, Indigenous languages, and Hakka, celebrating the vibrant fusion of diverse cultures.
Running until January 3, 2025, the festival centers on diverse music, delicious cuisine, interactive lighting displays, and sustainability concepts, inviting everyone to share in the warmth and joy of the Christmas season. With eco-friendly innovation at its core, the event aims to inspire fresh ideas and new momentum for sustainable development.
The festival brings together nearly 230 food stalls, offering classic Hakka dishes and creative international cuisines. Cultural and creative booths are also available, providing visitors with a rich and immersive shopping experience. This year, the event embraces the concept of sustainable tourism by partnering with Taiwan’s circular economy brand, ECOCO. Incorporating the principles of ECO (environment) and COin (currency), a points-based reward system encourages participants to support resource sustainability.
A dedicated "Miaoli Golden Selection" brand area highlights local businesses, showcasing their signature products. Additionally, an interactive educational board game, Seine Fishing and Tug of War with the Ocean, is on display. This innovative game blends fishing village culture with environmental education, creatively repurposing discarded bottle caps into engaging gameplay elements.
The public is warmly invited to Zhunan Sports Park to experience the perfect harmony of music, cuisine, and sustainability while embracing the brilliance of the Christmas season!
