This statue of Goddess Mazu is 26.66 meters tall and made up of 299 granite stone and 161 green stones.
While there is another statue of Goddess Mazu in Macao, which was built in 1998 and claims to be the world’s tallest today, this statue in Zholan is not less significant at all.
Not only many visitors have come a long way to see it, locals take it as an important religious landmark, too.
