Fighting against COVID-19, Miaoli County Government sprays disinfectors all around the environs to keep the country’s first old mountain railway bicycles in service.
From May 1 to Sept. 15, the season for watching fireflies and Tung blossoms, a 5th night-time train will also be in available. Holiday resorts will even provide special offers to visitors, with support from the county government. Visitors are encouraged to take time enjoying Miaoli’s delicious food and leisurely lifestyle.
Upon presenting a railway bicycle ticket to West Lake Resortopia, an NT$250 discounted price will be offered. During the firefly-watching season, at Happy Valley 1820 in the resort, visitors can watch the “dazzling blue tears.” In fact, Sanyi where the resort is located is the most famous for attractive scenes of dancing fireflies and romantic white Tung flowers.
