The Miaoli County Government’s Culture and Tourism Bureau took part in the MATTA Fair 2025, Malaysia's largest travel fair, from September 3 to 10, organized by the Taiwan Visitors Association. In addition to showcasing Miaoli at the MATTA Fair in Kuala Lumpur, the delegation also held two dedicated tourism promotion events, one in Kuala Lumpur and another in Johor Bahru, to comprehensively promote the county’s rich tourism resources.
At the MATTA Fair, the Miaoli County booth showcased its beloved mascot, Maoli-Meow, as the centerpiece of its display. Through promotional videos, travel brochures, and giveaway souvenirs, the booth presented Miaoli’s stunning natural landscapes, cultural heritage, and signature cuisine, attracting large crowds of visitors. Many Malaysian attendees expressed strong interest in Miaoli’s Hakka culture, tea traditions, and Tung Blossom attractions.
With its abundant ecotourism offerings, vibrant cultural activities, and distinctive local cuisine, Miaoli is an ideal destination for Malaysian travelers seeking authentic and immersive travel experiences. Local travel businesses that joined the Miaoli delegation actively engaged with Malaysian industry professionals and the public, enthusiastically showcasing the diverse charms of Miaoli.
