Cutting across the Bajiaodong Mountain Range, Shihtan River provides a strategic geographic environment for the construction of Mingde Reservoir within the precipitous gorge,surrounded by mountains with wide expanse of water region.
The meandering river shores and lushly grown forest nurtures an exuberant wealth of natural ecology. These include species of plants endemic to Taiwan and insects of all kinds like firefly and butterfly. Situated on the lake water of Mingde Reservoir,Rixin Isle is surrounded by lake and hence relies upon Suspension Bridge No. 1 and 2 for external communication. Walking on the suspension bridges, a panoramic view of the lake and surrounding beauty of the wilderness can be captured.
