It is an off-stream reservoir with the only jagged weir spillway in Taiwan. It is surrounded by green hills. People can take in the whole beauty at once in high area. The sparkling wave of the reservoir surface increases spirituality of the mountains and rivers. The reservoir has enriched the flora and fauna ecology, including a large number of fishes and shrimps, as well as natural broad-leaved forest and secondary growth of forest. It is a good location to find a secluded place of natural beauty.
