Swasiq is an indigenous Ayatal term which means “a place that produces lots of European black nightshade. Most of the buildings in this tribe are residential households. The locals like to paint indigenous graphics on their house walls to showcase their daily life traditions. Some of the old stilt houses, which are unique to Ayatal culture, are still well-preserved within the tribe. Plenty of studios for traditional craft art can be found in the tribe’s alleys, too.
