The Culture and Tourism Bureau of Miaoli County Government has recently been promoting the “slow-fish movement” in its four coastal towns, Zhunan, Houlong, Tongxiao, and Yuanli.
A range of tourist highlights are worth visits here, such as the Cape of Good Hope in Houlong, the 32.2 meter-tall Goddess Mazu statue of Qinghai Temple, and Hehuan and Wunai Stone Weirs of Waipuli.
What’s more, diversified fishery village culture, coastal bicycle paths, and “farm to table” food feasts, are the best features of Miaoli’s “blue tourism.” Visitors are encouraged to learn about ocean conservation during their trips.
