Xianshan is located at the eastern part of Shitan Township, Miaoli County, Xianshan, and it is formerly known as Hongmaoguan Mountain. The 6km hiking trail begins with a memorial arch and ends at the mid-hill Lingdong Temple, with much green grass on both sides and often filled with mists.
The place acquired the name “Xianshan” for the sweet cold spring water it possesses. On weekends and holidays, people swarm in to get the water, which is believed to come from the fairyland. Folk believers and mountain hikers are many.
